Today the club went off site to view the spectacular JKL American Museum of Telephony in Soquel. It has the most remarkable collection of telephones throughout the ages as well as phone booths, a library, and videos reflecting the history of the telephone.  It is a non-profit organization and admission is free!

The tour was led by the owner John K. LaRue and two other colleagues who between them have many years of experience working with telephone utilities both here and abroad.  We all learned many things that we hadn’t known before such as the number of colors phones have come in over the years, and the history of the development of the technology.
The museum welcomes visits by the public but by invitation only. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information or to ask to be invited to visit contact  Mr. LaRue at 831-948-2127 or john@jklmuseum.com.
